head shaving scene This video is an example of a microsystem from a social work standpoint. One of the basic types of microsystems is a family. The video shows how each family member's actions impacts the others.
Gigachad Brian preventing his wicked witch wife from causing anymore suffering to his family...
This scene really shows well how much pressure was put on the father too. Bless his soul, he didn't deserve so much of that turmoil and negativity. 😓✊
Favorite scene in the movie, Cameron's character was just wrong on every level
"You see how upset she is?" Because of YOU!!!!!!!
The thing is, Sarah doesn't consider what Kate wants, she isnt fighting for Kate, shes fighting for herself. Because she cant bear to lose her daughter. Kate's being ignored the same as the rest of them.
Yes, Brian (Jason Patric) tells Sara (Cameron Diaz) wants to divorce family.
Should’ve clocked her
So sad when a mother is fucking crazy. Just accept your child wants to live before dying is that fucking hard to let someone go for God sakes.
W video
Sara wanted to kate to live so bad she forgot to let kate go out and live
Anyone else LOVE how nonchalantly Brian turns to the kids and says "Mommy and I are divorced now, get in the car." He was done with her crap!
Its actually very sad because when the mom finally let her go. She felt regret for not going
DESPERATION can cause people to make bad reckless decisions. It happens in family life, sports, finances, relationships, and a lot of other situations. You are not in control of what other people do or want. Just give your best effort think logically, and keep moving forward.
When the father knows better...
Is it wrong of me to cheer when Brian flung Sara off of him when she tried to take the keys from him? Because I loved that part.
That’s a good dad.
Good on Daddy O

I got a communication process for ya, you don’t even have to lift a finger, I’ll lift one of mine for you(if you know what I’m talking about)!🖕
Anyone else here bc school 😅
Gghhhsghaghghghgshghghhgahhhahah
She didnt even listen to her kid, yes its hard, yes shes dying, that wont change with more drugs coursing through her making her miserable. Let her have one goddamn day.
That’s a real father right there! I know I can’t save my daughter but I can at least give her this moment.
no quiero llorar
Took him 14 years but finally...he found his balls 🥲
Cameron Diaz delivered the best performance of her career in this film. I’m not saying the mother was right in everything, because sometimes she wasn’t, but she killed every scene she was in.
As a fireman's daughter, I love this scene.
This scene gets me every time. I live near a woman who has 5 kids and one of them was fighting a horrible disease. She never talked about any of her kids other than the sick one. Her entire life was devoted to keeping her child alive. It was so bad that her oldest child left home the day he graduated from high school because he was sick of being ignored and how everything revolved around his sibling. The child passed a couple of years ago and to this day, the only thing she ever talks about is her sick child. I dont even know the names of her three younger kids because she has never talked to about them at all.
It's sad honestly, we will never know until we go through it ourselves.
I loved cameron diaz in this movie.. she did so well
thats crazy
thats crazy
thats crazy
Everybody hates and talks shit about sarah (my self included) But what kind of parent are you if you dont turn into crazy mode to save your kids life?
Kate was past saving at this point. Her dad was trying to give her a happy Memory before she went
You guys have obviously never been raised with Hispanic parents. Her mom is acting like this because she didnt want her to just sleep herself to death. This was motivation. Her mom spoke to her like that out of love.
Or black parents. Sometimes we as parents just KNOW what is best for our kids sometimes regardless of what a Dr says. Yes she had medication but clearly that wasn't the answer either. Her mom did the right thing. Get up let's get some air today. ❤
Bryan was me his whole mood
Fuck that mom 💀
Brian: Get your stuff. March in, march out. One minute. Sara: Hey. What's going on? Brian: We're going to the beach. Sara: You're going to the beach? Brian: Get your bikini. Sara: Kate? Kate, what are you doing...? KATE: Mama, please. Don't... Sara: Wait a second, what is she doing out of the hospital? Brian! Brian! It'll kill her! Give me the keys, I'm taking her back to the hospital. Give me the keys, Brian! Let... Give me! Are you insane? You trying to kill her? Brian: I talked to chance. Sara: I don't give a shit who you talked to! You are killing her! You understand? Take her to the beach, you kill her! Come on. Kate: No, please. Sara: Come on, sweetie. It's okay. Kate: No, please, please! Brian: Don't do this. Sara: See how upset she is? See what you're doing? I'll call cops. Brian: Do what you gotta do. Last 14 years I've let you have it your way. Sara: Last 14 years have been about saving her! Brian: Today is not about you. Sara: You want to undermine that? Brian: It's about Kate. Sara: It is. Brian: She wants to go to the beach. Lf you'd like... Sara: She's gonna die! Brian: Better come, if you don't, I want a divorce. Sara: A divorce? Great! Brian: Good. Sara: You got a fucking divorce! Brian: We're divorced, Mommy and me are divorced. Sit in the car. In the car. Sara: No. Anna! Brian: In the car! Sara: Brian. Give me the keys! This is ridiculous! Brian: STOP. Sarah: You're gonna regret this, Brian. You understand? You're gonna regret this! Brian! Katie, sweetie, you gotta go back to the hospital!
Hide Kate your mom 0:11
This movie plus hormonal cycle had me cryinggg
Cameron Diaz is desperate to be be an actress that I am glad to see the look on her face as I couldn’t get out of? 🤣
I absolutely love that the father put his foot down here for the sake of his daughter. Nothing meant more to him than taking her out while he still could.
Its easy to hate the mom "Sara" but my mother said if you had your first child and you automatically bond with that child especially if the child is sick your instinct to protect and nurture will kick off like steroids, that's why the dad need to be there to balance the mother natural instinct of constant protection, nurture untill disregard her daughter livelihood
In this situation the word divorce doesnt get that hard to temtep according to relentless scene.
This was very selfish of her mom to not allow her to just have a minute of peace without it being in a hospital
Kate was fearless, absolutely fearless
I didn’t like how the mom treated Anna
the guilt finally comes to Brian
What episode and season is this?
Her last celebration with her whole family and friends. One last time together.
the way its supposed to be
